How do I use Telfree?

How do I create a shortcut to Telfree on my phone's desktop?
You can have a direct link/button to Telfree on your phone's desktop/main page on Nokia devices.
Telfree on Nokia On installation, Telfree usually creates a shortcut/button to the application on the desktop. If this didn't occur, you can setup the shortcut yourself. Depending on your phone model, there are various ways to do this.

- Select Main Menu
- Select Tools
- Select Settings
- Select General
- Select Personalisation
- Select Home screen
- Select Key shortcuts
- To change the left and/or right buttons select Left/Right Selection Key. A list of all applications available on your phone will be seen, and you can select the Telfree application.
- To change the one of icons across your top of phone, select Mode Settings > Home screen applications > Application shortcuts. There are shortcut keys for each icon and by selecting the icon, a list of all applications available on your phone will be seen, and you can choose the Telfree application.
Model B:
- Select Main Menu
- Select Tools
- Select Settings
- Select Phone
- Select Standby Mode. If this is not an option, select General to try to get to Standby Mode
- To change the left and/or right buttons select Left/Right Selection Key. If not an option, select Shortcuts to try to get to Left/Right Selection Key. A list of all applications available on your phone will be seen, and you can select the Telfree application.
- To change the one of icons across your top of phone, select Active Standby apps (not Active Standby). There are shortcut keys for each icon and by selecting the icon, a list of all applications available on your phone will be seen, and you can choose the Telfree application.
Other mobile handset brands do not allow you to create your own shortcuts.
Which internet connection should I use?
When logging into Telfree, you will be asked to select a method of connecting to the Internet - known as an 'Access Point'.
This is where you decide how you want to connect to the internet, using Wi-Fi or 3G. Scroll through the options and select your preferred option depending on your local service providers.
If you have access to a Wi-Fi network, is best to use Wi-Fi as this is usually the cheapest connectivity option. You will be asked to enter in the network password if the network is private.
If you are using 3G, your 3G mobile operator will have a particular name for their Access Point such as 'Internet 3G', 'ABC Telecom'. It is best to contact your service provider to establish which connection to use for 3G if you are unsure.

How can I tell if the internet network is good quality?
Telfree has provided the Connection Quality Bar, on the top left corner of your Dialer tab within the Telfree mobile application. The Bar is also displayed during a call.
The Connection Quality Bar lets you know how good your connection to the Telfree systems is. This way you can tell if you are likely to have a good quality call or not.
Green indicates the best strength, yellow indicates a good strength, orange indicates medium strength, red indicates weak strength and grey with the cross indicates the worst level connection strength. On weaker signals, making calls is not recommended. However, other functionality like Instant Messaging or SMS messaging and function even at weak signal strengths.
