Telfree on Nokia - Settings

Your registered mobile number

  • There are a number of Telfree settings you can control and adjust.
  • Mobile Number: this is the mobile cellular number that is linked to your Telfree account. This number must be verified.

SMS Integration option

  • SMS Integration: Whenever you send an SMS, you’ll be asked whether you want to send the SMS via Telfree. The default setting for SMS Integration is Active.

Other General settings

There are other settings you can control too:

  • Auto Connect: When you log into Telfree Mobile, Auto Connect automatically uses your list of preferred Internet connection points to establish an Internet connection, without asking which access points to use each time. The default setting for this feature is Active.
  • Auto Login: When you open Telfree Mobile, Auto Login automatically logs you into the client, without having to select the “log in” option. The default setting for this feature is Inactive.
  • Auto Start: Launches Telfree automatically whenever you turn your phone on. The default setting for this feature is Inactive
  • International prefix: This indicates your country of primary residence and is important because it tells us what dialling prefix to attach to any local numbers you may dial without an international dialling prefix.

Email settings

There are other settings you can control too:

  • Ringing Alert: this allows for a short sound when a new email arrives. Default Status: Active.
  • Pop-up Alert: this allows for a 'New Email' notification to pop up on your handset when a new email arrives. Default Status: Active.
  • Email Validity: this indicates how long you want emails pushed to your phone to remain inside Telfree Mobile. Note that emails are never ever removed from your email server where they will always remain. Default Status: 1 week.

Chat Settings

  • Vibrate & Beep: this indicates how you will be alerted when a new chat/instant message is received. Default Status: Vibrate & Beep.
  • Show offline Friends: this indicates whether offline friends are shown in your chat list. Default Status: Yes.

SMS Settings

  • Send SMS: send SMSes from the application via Telfree or your mobile operator. Default Status: Via Telfree.
  • Sort by: how to sort your SMSes by Time of arrival or Name of Sender. Default Status: By Time
